How visitors get into the system
- QR code self-registration. Put your church's QR code on the screen or on a card. Visitors scan it and fill in their name and phone number themselves.
- Your welcome team can add a first timer from a phone in a few seconds.
- Event registrants. People who register for your conference or crusade can be added to First Timers automatically the morning after the event. Anyone already in your records is recognised by phone number or email, so nobody is added or contacted twice.
What each first timer receives
Every morning at 9am, church time, EasyChurch checks who is due and sends the messages from your church's own SMS account:
- Day 1: a warm welcome, thanking them for worshipping with you.
- Day 3: a short personal check-in.
- Day 7: an invitation to come back this Sunday.
- Day 30: an invitation to join your Foundation Class, sent by SMS and by email.
Each message comes in several versions that take turns, three to start and as many as you want to add, so people do not receive the same words every time and it reads like a person reaching out. You can edit every message to sound like your church.
From visitor to member
The Growth Pipeline shows where each person is, from first timer to Foundation Class to Discipleship, and Follow Up tasks let you assign a worker to call or visit someone. When first timers have settled in, one button converts them to members. The Foundation Class comes with eight weeks of ready-made lessons and an exam, and EasyChurch tracks attendance, friends invited and graduation for every student.
Members who stop coming
Follow-up is not only for visitors. When a member is marked absent they receive a caring text and an email with a link to your latest sermon, and the people who have been away longest show up on your dashboard so a worker can call them. Read about attendance and absentee care.
What it costs
One price for the whole platform, charged in Naira, with the US dollar equivalent shown for churches outside Nigeria. No limit on members, and every feature is included.
Text messages are paid to your own SMS provider, so you pay only for what you send. 1,000 emails a month are included free.
Questions
Do I have to send the messages myself?
No. They go out automatically at 9am in your church's time zone. You only add the person; EasyChurch does the rest.
Can I change the wording?
Yes. Every automatic message can be edited, and you can add your own versions. Text messages are kept free of emojis so each one costs a single SMS page where possible.
What does the SMS cost?
Messages are sent through your church's own SMS account, so you pay your provider's normal rate. The EasyChurch subscription does not add a charge per message.
What if the visitor gave an email address?
The Day 30 Foundation Class invitation goes by email as well as SMS. Birthday, anniversary and absentee messages also go by email when you have one.
